In small bowl, combine raisins, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Hollow out the cores of 4 apples (leaving the bottoms). Slice off 1/4 inch off the top of the apple so the skin is removed from the top. Place in slow cooker, hollowed out areas exposed.
Fill apples with the oats mixture, pressing in if desired.
Top each apple with a small pat of butter.
Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until apple is cooked through.
